MBFW Survival Guide

Welcome designers, bloggers, buyers, stylists, fashion savvy writers and every girl whose stomach turns a flip over a new Marc Jacobs design prancing down the runway on a statuesque model with an attitude!  We simply LOVE NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!
It's the beautiful, bizarre, fun, chic and sometimes absurd all rolled into the tents at Lincoln Center. Here's the ten essentials you'll need to survive:

1. Your life line, also known as the ipone, ipad, or whatever your personal techno must have is for getting what you see out there asap, via instagram, twitter, blog posts, etc.
2. The flat version of whatever gorgeous pair of heels you're wearing, same color, same style or just the never fail basic black ballet flat that goes with everything.  Trust us you'll thank us in the morning!
3. A big structured bag, big enough to hold those flats, and other essentials, like a water bottle, your camera and alL the free goodies and publications people will be throwing your way.  Nothing worse than having a hand full of magazines spilling over while trying to squeeze past the likes of Anna Wintour into your seat.
4. A small structured cross body for the things you need to get your hands on every minute like your iphone and your lipstick.
5.A big statement necklace will surely get you attention.
6. Over sized sunnies give you an instantly chic look.
7. Nail Polish! The odds of a chipped nail during all the madness are high, so keep some polished stashed in your bag. You never know whose hand you'll end up shaking!
8. Your business cards! We know, it sounds like a no brainer, but in all the excitement you would be surprised how many people leave the house without them. And don't forget to have them in a chic case.
9. Although there is food available we always recommend keeping a healthy snack in your bag for emergencies, we're addicted natural new rolls, they go great with a hand full of raw nuts.
10. Breath mints, ahem, say no more.
11. And last but not least a good old fashioned pad and pen, and by that we mean a chic notebook and a cool pen.

Don't have a ticket to any of the shows but still what to be part of the excitement?  Put on your favorite outfit and get yourself over to the plaza at Lincoln Center, have a seat by the fountain and watch the fashion world go by.  It's said that sometimes the street style is better than what's on the runway!  Watch the likes of Tommy Ton and see who he chooses to photograph for his best of streets style looks, hey, it may even be you!

Oh and we almost forgot the most important item! YOUR CAMERA!
